PMXpert has the flexibility to keep track of all the different types of equipment you operate.
PMXpert reduces the time required to do the tedious repetitive activities involved in tracking the type of activities/costs which are attributed to a particular piece of equipment. PMXpert also produces various reports that provide critical management information which is virtually impossible to acquire in a manual record keeping environment. For example, PMXpert provides the operator with reports detailing parts and fluid usage and costs which can help identify problems before they occur. This feature serves to increase equipment efficiency and assists in identifying the potential for catastrophic component failures.
The program ensures that preventive maintenance and inspection activities are not accidentally missed or forgotten. Thus, the cost savings obtained through aggressive performance tracking added to the early detection of problems that can lead to major component failure as well as the strict adherence to preventive maintenance programs will result in significant cost savings to the user.
Users of PMXpert have typically enjoyed savings of 5% or more on overall maintenance costs. These savings are achieved through increased management control and general productivity increases as well as through the following unique features of the program:
- Automatic Scheduling of preventive maintenance (PM) and inspection activities
- Group PMs and Inspections together to minimise down time
- Work Order Creation using service types indicating labor and part requirements and procedures (pm checklist)
Another important cost saving feature of the program is its ability to ensure against over maintenance of vehicles.
Using the PMXpert program will reduce your equipment down time by as much as 10% since the program ensures that preventive maintenance activities, your greatest insurance against breakdown, are scheduled at the proper intervals.
Despite appearances to the contrary, unexpected catastrophic equipment failure does not happen suddenly. It is often the result of neglect. In virtually all instances, the introduction of preventive maintenance scheduling reduces catastrophic equipment failures by as much as 10% per year.
Employing the preventive maintenance features of the PMXpert CMMS program leads, quite simply, to a higher quality piece of equipment. That's worth money on the resale market. By being able to produce detailed maintenance histories at the point of resale or trade-in-histories which allow you to document the claim means the resale/lease turn-in value of your used equipment will increase by as much as 6% to 10%.
Labor activities and mechanics' performances can be tracked through the PMXpert system. Using the power of the system, you can quickly identify variances between book or shop labor rates and actual labor activities. Tracking mechanics' activities can assist in producing payroll information as well as providing the basis for determining the optimal mechanic staff size. Beyond accountability, the PMXpert Preventive Maintenance and Inspection Service Schedule also produces a listing of all the required labor inputs for each job thus giving you the capacity to ensure proper and efficient labor scheduling.
One of the features that sets PMXpert above other preventive maintenance and CMMS programs is its user-friendliness and it's capacity to accommodate any method of calibrating vehicle/equipment usage. The three major usage types are distance, time, and frequency. The flexibility of the package is such that every PMXpert user can develop their own unique unit categories, unit (equipment) codes, preventive maintenance and inspection service types and frequencies.
PMXpert produces a full spectrum of standard reports that include equipment lists, work orders, service schedules, unit costing and labor costing. PMXpert's unique filtering system allows the user tremendous flexibility for customising the information required in the reports.

The Service Request Module expands your options for receiving asset service requests, making them easier to organise and manage. This module allows people to send asset service requests by email into the Special Requests area of PMXpert, eliminating the need to install PMXpert on everyone’s computer. The request emails only need to contain basic information about the asset and service required, which is an advantage when the individuals sending these requests do not know the terminology of your maintenance department.
Instead of allowing non-technical users to disorganise your system by entering information directly into PMXpert, you will direct all service requests in your facility to the designated email address. The Maintenance Manager can review the recorded requests, assign the requests to the appropriate assets, and create work orders, all in a few easy steps in the same screen.

PMXpert's superior, user-friendly Find and Filter features allow you to pinpoint groups of requests that need immediate attention. Use status codes and priority levels to aid in grouping. Apply additional parameters for more specific results, ensuring that you’re viewing top priority requests and dealing with them first.
The status codes are a fabulous way to keep you organised. You create the status code names and choose what colour they will be. When viewing requests, the status code colours help you distinguish at a glance the progress of the request.
Attach photos or detailed documents to requests to quickly and clearly convey your message or recommend a solution to your maintenance crew. Attachments help you call attention to the problem and avoid misunderstandings when describing your request. You can include files such as complicated diagrams or detailed documents required for installing a part. Photos can also be used to convey the condition of an asset. You can even include web addresses as attachments - viewing them from PMXpert automatically opens a web browser to that page!
It couldn’t be easier to create a work order from an email request:
- Check for email requests
- Add the request to PMXpert
- Select the request and click Create W.O.
That’s all it takes! PMXpert automatically transfers the information from the email to PMXpert to the work order, preserving data integrity and saving you time by avoiding re-keying or using copy and paste. Of course, PMXpert also allows multiple opportunities for you to review, edit, and add data to requests or work orders.
